In this section:  Essence  ||  Camps  ||  Training

Training is also offered for graduates, lecturers, churches as well.

Our other constituency other than students are those who come alongside us to more effectively reach the students in campus. These are the training offered as and when deemed necessary and suitable :

  • CREATIVE BIBLE STUDIES
Studying the Bible inductively and creatively is a needed asset to reach a very different generation students today. With a high rate of Bible illiteracy, and short attention spans, creative ideas yet inductively studying the Bible is very crucial in equipping them to stand on their own two feet.

  • INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS MINISTRY
The mission right at our doorstep has been noticed and many are reaching out to the internationals studying in our midst- Chinese (from China), Indonesians, Middle Eastern students, Vietnamese, students from the African nations and many more. Reaching them is not an easy task, as it needs cross-cultural sensitivity as well as well-thought out, long term commitment and strategies.

  • GRAD VOLUNTEERS TRAINING
A one year weekend training for our graduates whom we feel are suitable to help staff in ministering at either the campus level, or at Bible studies, or Camps or even in taking speaking engagements. These people will wear the FES hat, as they minister among the students, and therefore strict training and equipping is very necessary and crucial. Training includes skills to do Bible Study creatively, Counseling, Preaching; as well as discussions on the student generation and how to effectively reach them for Christ.

  • NATIONAL YOUTH WORKER'S CONFERENCE (NYWC)
A time to bring together all youth workers whether they are church youth workers, teachers, lecturers, graduates, or staff to examine the core pillars of our youth work, and to see how we can minister to the youth in a holistic manner. Besides, specific issues needing in depth discussion will be discussed at the workshop levels. Also, models of youth work that are being carried out in Malaysia can be shared and learnt from. Finally, it is also a time to hear from the youth themselves how they feel about the youth programs and how we relate with them.
