This section of the site is dedicated to list the many different non-governmental and non-profit organisations in Malaysia, that you, the student population can pour your youthful energy into. We are in no way, directly affiliation to any of the organisations listed here. This is purely a community service.

WORLD VISION
World Vision is a Christian-based humanitarian aid agency, currently working in 100 countries and helping over 80 million people in their struggle against poverty, war or natural catastrophes. Through its more than 5,000 projects throughout the world, World Vision helps save lives, bring hope, build a sustainable and stable future and restore dignity to people in need irrespective of their gender, ethnic background, nationality or religion.

SHELTER
Shelter is a registered welfare organization in Malaysia. Shelter was set up in June 1981 in response to the escalation of child abuse and neglect cases in Malaysia. From the single original home which opened for five abandoned children, we now operate five homes with more than 80 children and teenagers under residential care.

MALAYSIAN CARE
The Malaysian Care story began in the late 1970’s when a group of young and enthusiastic Christian individuals decided to share the love of God with those in need. These individuals became aware in a new way, the compassion of Jesus and the plight of some children in the Sungai Buluh Leprosy Settlement. After much prayer, this small group of Christians decided that action should be taken up to set up some social ministry work.

UNITED VOICES
UNITED VOICE is a Self-Advocacy Group for Persons with Learning Disabilities. It has a total of 31 members. In 1995, 3 volunteers recruited a small group of Persons with Learning Disabilities and formed a group then known as Self-Advocacy Group (S.A.G.). The group was named United Voice in year 2000. The Group has Supporting Friends who advise the group when needed. The Group is currently being sponsored by Dignity & Services, an NGO that advocates for and with Persons with Learning Disabilities.

The Yayasan Strategik Sosial which was established by the Malaysian Indian Congress has developed a holistic, systematic and an integrated approach in addressing the social problem faced by the Malaysian Indian Community.

JJ RESOURCES - Consultancy for Social Research & Policy
JJ Resources is a consultancy firm established by Dr. Denison Jayasooria to assist public, private and civil society in the formulation of policies and programmes which will enhance people centered development in the context of a fast, modernising and industrialised nation. KIWANIS DOWN SYNDROME FOUNDATION
The Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation is committed to the welfare of children with Down Syndrome, its main focus being the education of these children below 6 years old. The KDSF now manages 6 Down Syndrome Centres in Malaysia – at Petaling Jaya, Johore Bahru, Klang, Seremban, Melaka and Kota Kinabalu.

ST. JOHN'S AMBULANCE MALAYSIA
As a charitable organization, the SJAM provides other community services such as haemodialysis centres, 24-hour emergency as well as non-emergency ambulance services, and Home Nursing Care for the Invalid with the assistance of generous corporate bodies. Thanks to them, the organization is able to provide emergency First Aid services along the North-South Highway and the federal trunk roads during the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri and the Chinese New Year holidays. The continuous support from the public as well as the corporate citizens is always welcome to help the SJAM to carry out its mission for the benefit of the public all over the nation.

MERCY MALAYSIA
Natural or man-made disasters, poverty and other challenges are a fact of life for many people in various parts of the world today. Malaysians in general are very fortunate to be living in a country that is not only peaceful but is also developed in diverse fields. Part of this is due to the fact that Malaysia is vulnerable to few earthly disasters. However, whilst enjoying the blessings of this prosperity, Malaysians need to also reach out and help others who may not be so fortunate, whether they be within or outside of Malaysia’s borders.
